At Motoscoot we offer a high-quality aluminum cylinder repair service. 

There are two repair options, depending on the condition of the cylinder:

• Polishing: removes small impurities or superficial residues stuck to the inner lining of the cylinder. This type of repair is only possible if the nickel has not peeled off in any area.
• Nikasil coating: applied when the cylinder damage is severe and cannot be resolved with simple polishing. In this case, the coating is heavily worn or detached. The repair process includes an acid bath to remove the damaged coating, followed by the application of a new layer of nickel, carbide, and silicon. Normally, this process restores the cylinder to the original piston size (although in some cases an oversized piston may be required due to wear).
